From May 15 to 17, 2025, the 17th Shenzhen International Battery Technology Conference/Exhibition (CIBF), themed "Linking the Globe, Empowering Green Energy, Driving the Future," was grandly held at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. As a global benchmark for the battery industry, CIBF2025 brought together top global enterprises, research institutions, and industry leaders. The concurrent "CIBF2025 Advanced Battery Frontier Technology Symposium" focused on hot industry topics, with the sodium-ion battery technology session garnering significant attention. Dr. Tu Jian, Chairman and CTO of LiFun Technology, was invited to serve as the chairman of the sodium-ion battery technology session and delivered a keynote speech titled "Thoughts on Sodium-Ion Battery Energy Storage Systems and Solid-State Development."
At the conference, Dr. Tu shared LiFun Technology's latest research achievements in sodium-ion battery technology and its practical experience in the energy storage field, discussing development ideas integrating two emerging technologies—solid-state batteries and sodium-ion batteries—with over 200 experts and attendees. LiFun Technology's sodium-ion battery technology is based on multiple technological innovations in cathode and anode materials, electrolytes, current collectors, and separators, having successfully launched innovative products across various chemical systems and packaging forms to fully meet market demands. Notably, its large-capacity sodium-ion battery cells for energy storage have drawn widespread attention. Featuring an innovative structural design with a wider surface area, these batteries offer higher heat dissipation efficiency and easily pass safety tests such as puncture, thermal abuse, overcharge, and short-circuit. Tests show that the heat dissipation power of these cells is 2.23 times higher than other prismatic cells. Additionally, they achieve a charge-discharge efficiency of over 95.5% at 0.5P, a cycle life exceeding 10,000 times, excellent low-temperature discharge performance, and comply with the latest sodium-ion energy storage standard GB/T44265-2024.
With nearly a decade of deep engagement in sodium-ion battery technology, LiFun Technology has taken the lead in large-scale mass production of wide-temperature-range, high-rate, long-life sodium-ion products through independent material system innovations and cell process breakthroughs. The company has become one of the first in China to achieve industrialized operation of sodium-ion batteries and one of the first to pass sodium-ion performance evaluations, receiving numerous honors such as the "Most Investment-Worthy Award in the Sodium-Ion Battery Industry" and "Top 10 Innovative Enterprises in Sodium-Ion Batteries." Driven by the "dual-carbon" strategy, LiFun Technology is seizing new opportunities by building a full-chain collaborative innovation mechanism spanning materials, cells, and systems. It has currently achieved a breakthrough in energy density for 650Ah lithium-ion energy storage cells and mass production of 20Ah to 200Ah sodium-ion products. The company has also entered strategic partnerships with multiple upstream and downstream leading enterprises in the supply chain to accelerate the layout of high-performance lithium/sodium hybrid energy storage systems and deeply participate in source-grid-load-storage integrated demonstration projects.
